Just another ordinary soul in a beautiful world

I was inspired to create this after my trip to the most beautiful country in the world, Iceland.

I’ll share my travels, my food encounters, and other passions in my life.

In 2018, I moved to Tokyo, Japan, where I am now staying in a nice little apartment at Sendagaya, just ten minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku.

Hi I’m travelling to Iceland and read some of your posts. I’m a Singaporean teenage that needs advice from an avid traveller, like you.

My question is, can I pay most of the transactions there by debit card? Like the normal POSB Everyday go card. Will the charges be higher if I pay by card or cash?

Thank you. Looking forward to your reply.

      Hi Clinton!
Yes I believe you can, as long as you can sign off with the card it should function like a credit card except the money is deducted right out of your account .
The interesting thing about Iceland is you can pay almost everything using card. I didn’t even exchange a single kronur there!
There are no charges for using card as far as I know. To be safe thought you might want to change some currency before arrival.
I don’t think SG has any money exchange they does so for Icelandic currency so you can try the airport you are transiting in or in Reykjavik itself.
Have a safe trip! Let me know how it went !

      Hi Koh!
Thank you for coming by to my blog.
It’s pretty simple ! All I did was to book a SIN to LONDON via SQ website, then go to Iceland air website to book a LONDON to Keflavik ticket .
Just make sure the airport is correct (Heathrow) and check the time – u should use London time when booking the Icelandair tickets .
